New Beginnings
In my last journal entry August 3 I expressed the desire to return to see Corrina ‘to see what she got up to next.’ So for our visit in early September I arrived expecting great things and thankfully was not disappointed. I was joined by my wife Christine who was seeing Corrina for the first time after Corrina’s diagnosis; we couldn’t have come at a more promising time!
Big Sister
My son Dylan is not much of a social media guy and the details of Corrina's situation often make him sad so he has stayed away from this site. However, when he did get the details of the latest MRI he sent a very nice message to his sister which both he and Corrina decided to share here. I am very proud to be related to both of these loving people.
A Good Visit
When I left last June after my visit I was not really happy with Corrina’s situation. All kinds of complications from the November infection and surgery just didn’t seem to be resolving. Corrina as usual was upbeat and fine. I was a mess.
Father's Day Wish
An update on Corrina's status. I was able to spend 11 days with her at the beginning of this month. She had just finished Round 5 of chemotherapy very successfully, with limited nausea, when another couple of infections started, one at the original biopsy site. As usual, Corrina has endured this latest threat to her health with strength and courage.
ALWAYS A SMILE OR LAUGH
I have just returned from visiting and helping Corrina in West Hartford. We had a good week and Corrina is stable and very active. I feel lucky and privileged to witness the love in action on the HealTeam C.
Claudia and David are just amazing and I am inspired by their dedication and commitment.
A Monthly Hospital Visit
Leaving on a jet out of Bradley after 10 or 11 days with Corrina I am so sad to leave her. She is so strong and I know she has fears about what’s going on but she keeps us all upbeat and in the moment.
Five Weeks Out of the Hospital!
While Claudia and David have been resolute in keeping this blog alive the task actually requires a lot more commitment than it would appear. Hopefully, as Corrina’s dad, I can contribute a little to the narrative.
